Mel was quite a gal in her time. She worked with Marianne Faithfull in Marianne's mum's coffee bar shortly before Marianne was discovered.(Marianne's mum was a Baroness from Vienna). Mel was hanging out with the members of Led Zeppelin in Pangbourne shortly before they became mega rock stars. She became good friends with the band's road manager Richard Cole. Mel was driving around in a Rolls Royce in the sixties. She was having a relationship with a guy called Robert who was supplying all the pubs and bars in the south west with juke boxes and it was Mel's job to go round all of them and change the records and take the cash. The black and white photos are not very good photo-copies of the originals that are at Villa Melrosa, Coto-Vio, Portugal.. They are of Mel when she was 22. Her sister Prim was the fashion editor for the Cambridge University student magazine. They arranged for a model for the day but she didn't show up so they got Mel to do it instead. Joel
